Supernatant from L929 cultures can be used to differentiate macrophages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowdish.ca\/lab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Calcein_staining_of_macrophages.pdf\">Calcein staining of<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowdish.ca\/lab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Calcein_staining_of_macrophages.pdf\">\u00a0macrophages<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Labelling cells with calcein AM allows for them to be quantitated using a fluorescent plate reader and is useful for various <em>in vitro<\/em> assays, including chemotaxis assays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowdish.ca\/lab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Griess-Assay-for-nitrite-determination.pdf\">Griess assay for nitrate determination<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This assay is used for measuring nitric oxide production from macrophages (often used in macrophage polarization studies).
